Before you begin
Use a domain or subdomain that is dedicated to short links. You must be able to edit its DNS records.
Connect the domain
- Open Settings and choose Custom Domains.
- Enter the hostname you want to use.
- Copy the exact DNS record ShortSaucy provides.
- Add that record at your DNS provider.
- Return to ShortSaucy and choose Recheck or Verify.
DNS can take time
Some providers publish changes quickly; others cache older values. Do not add extra records unless your provider requires them.
After verification
Select the active custom domain while creating or editing a link. If a domain becomes inactive, its branded links are temporarily unavailable until the domain is restored.
